POA is seeking candidates for the position Mail Clerk in Phoenix, AZ for one of our flagship Education sites. This important position is Responsible for receiving and sorting incoming mail to distribute to other departments or individuals, and overall coordination between POA and the customer. A high level of client satisfaction must be maintained by responding quickly and effectively to the client's needs.
The individual in this position continually seeks to improve the operations of support service; analyzing the current systems and implementing sound practices according to POA's Standards of Operational Excellence. This position is a critical position and is considered part of the local management team supporting our most important clients. Ideal candidates for this position will be competent self-organizers with a positive attitude and the ability to handle deadlines. The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working / supervising staff and operations in the following areas:
The mail clerk receives and delivers/distributes mail and packages, and works with customers to address any delivery issues. Mail distribution will be facilitated to individual and group campus sites and departments on a daily basis.

•Demonstrates awareness of proper warehouse and factory safety procedures.
Education and Experience
•High school diploma or GED is required.
•Job training session required prior to start date.
•License and certification to operate heavy machinery is strongly preferred.
•Time will be spent in a stockroom, warehouse, or loading dock receiving and transporting deliveries.
•Time will also be spent in a shipping and receiving office processing inventory and paperwork.
•Moderate to heavy physical labor such as lifting and moving heavy items is required on a regular basis.
•Temperature in the warehouse or dock varies according to external climate.
•Standard 40-hour workweek applies.
